Common questions
Pricing and Offers
Money questions first, because that's what people worry about before they've even called.
Do prices change once you start?
No. What you approve on the day is the number on your invoice, full stop. If something extra turns up mid-job, we stop, explain it, and get your sign-off on a separate figure rather than adding it quietly.
What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?
Book a job through our website form instead of picking up the phone and $50 comes off the total. Nothing else changes; you still get the same fixed price talked through before we start.
How does the 10% seniors discount work?
Just tell the plumber you're eligible before the job starts. Ten per cent comes off your fixed quote, no forms, no separate claim.
How do quotes work?
A plumber inspects the job on-site, then writes down what it'll cost before starting anything. Quoting is free, and it stays free even if you say no and go elsewhere.
Common questions
Whose Drain Is It, and Who Can Touch It
Licensing, ownership and what's actually safe to try yourself.
What warranty do I get?
Our labour carries a lifetime warranty. If it fails, we return free, and there's no time limit on when you can call us back about it.
Do wipes really block drains?
Constantly, and packaging labels don't change the physics. A wipe holds together for hours in water, snags on the first rough joint it meets, and every wipe after it builds the same clump bigger.
What is an overflow relief gully and why does it matter?
A council-mandated safety point built into your drainage, normally a grated fitting set into the ground. Its whole job is to spill outdoors before sewage forces its way back up through a toilet or shower inside.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
Everything from your boundary shaft in is ours to fix. Check next door: if their drain's backed up as well and it's happening out at the street, ring Sydney Water instead, it's their pipe.
Common questions
Booking, Timing and the 30-Minute Guarantee
When we're available and how fast we actually turn up.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
We do, Saturdays, Sundays and every gazetted holiday on the calendar. Your quote stays the same fixed figure whichever day of the week we turn up.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes, day or night, every day of the year including public holidays. Call any hour and you get a real person, not a recorded menu of options.
How fast can you get here?
We guarantee on-site in 30 minutes for urgent call-outs. A blocked drain rarely waits politely, so neither do we.
How do I book online?
Fill in the form on the contact page and we'll ring back to lock in a time. Booking that way is also what triggers the $50 saving, no code needed.
Common questions
The Mona Vale Questions
The local side of it: what's actually under the streets here.
Why do Mona Vale's older drains keep blocking?
A lot of the suburb's mid-century homes still run on clay and earthenware joints that were never meant to last a century. Tree roots and fine coastal sand both find their way into the smallest cracks.
Do tree roots really get into pipes here?
Regularly, especially near the older gardens and street trees away from the beachfront. Roots chase the moisture inside a drain and force their way through any weak joint they find.
How local are you, really?
We're in and around Mona Vale most weeks, not dispatched from somewhere else on the day. That's what gets a plumber on-site in 30 minutes rather than an hour.
Do you know Mona Vale's pipe stock?
Yes. Mid-century fibro and brick cottages near Mona Vale Headland Reserve and Narrabeen Park Parade still run a lot of original clay drainage. Salt air off the Tasman speeds up corrosion most people never even notice, until a fitting fails.
